What are Kawaii Blankets weighted blankets made out of?

Our weighted blankets are made out of 100% knitted polyester outside, with a 5% polyester/95% eco-recycled polyester filling. Our filling ensures the weight of the blanket is evenly distributed for the best-weighted blanket experience.

How do I wash my weighted blanket?

Step 1: Spot-treat any stains before washing.

Step 2:

Smaller Machines: If you have a smaller washing machine or a top load washer with an agitator (the center rod that moves clothes around), then we highly recommend using a laundry bag to wash your weighted blanket.
Larger Machines: If your washer does not have an agitator, we still recommend using a laundry bag, however, it is not required.

Step 3: Use a mild detergent on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach.

Step 4: We recommend air drying on a drying rack, hanging flat and not from the top down, in order not to stretch out your blanket. You can also use your dryer on low heat. Since weighted blankets are heavy, expect the drying process to take a little longer.

How much is shipping?

Good news! Standard shipping is always free.

When will I receive my Kawaii Blanket?

Orders are processed within 1 - 2 business days. Once the order is shipped you will receive an email letting you know that your order is on the way with tracking. Shipping time is between 3 - 5 business days in the coastal United States. Please note that shipping times are longer for Hawaii and Alaska. We are currently not shipping outside of the US but will be in the future, so stay tuned! Please make sure that you double-check that you enter your correct address at checkout, we are not responsible for orders delivered to the wrong address.

I need to make a change to my order.

Respond to your order confirmation email immediately with your request for the change (such as a change in address). *We cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate your change request after the order has been placed. Once you receive the shipping email, changes can no longer be made.

I need to return or exchange my item.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund minus the return shipping cost. Please refer to the Shipping & Returns page for more details.

What if the item I want is out of stock?

We do our best to keep your favorite products and colors in stock. In the case that it is out of stock you can sign up for an email notification that will notify you once the item is back in stock.

How do pre-orders work?

Products on pre-order will have an estimated date that the item will be available to ship. This date is an estimated date, the product can come sooner or later than the estimated date. We will send an email notification as soon as your item has shipped. Please note that once a pre-order is placed we cannot cancel it.

What are the weighted blanket size options?

Currently, we offer our weighted blankets in 40” x 60” at 10 lbs, which is the equivalent of a full-size blanket. This size is ideal for cuddling on the couch or in your favorite corner of your house. It can also be used for solo napping or snoozing. We will be offering more sizes, weights, and colors in the future!

Are weighted blankets hot?

Not at all! Kawaii Blankets originate in the desert, so it was important (~essential~) for us to create a blanket that is heavy while still being very breathable. The spaced-out thick woven design and breathable fabric allow you to use your Kawaii Blanket in the heat of summer without feeling too warm.
